Simple Cures for Stomach Bloating

We have all been bloated at one time or another in our lives. It is an uncomfortable feeling and is just downright annoying! Good news….it is possible to cure stomach bloating.
Unfortunately, one usually doesn’t seek out a cure for stomach bloating until they are already bloated. Here are some causes of bloating that, when avoided, should help to prevent stomach bloating.
A very common reason for feeling bloated is overeating. We tend to overeat if we eat too fast and don’t realize we are full. Our stomachs send a signal to our brains telling us we have had enough to eat. But, if we eat too fast, the message doesn’t get to our brain until we have passed the full stage and are into being “stuffed”. That’s when the bloating usually starts. Slow down your eating and you will help that bloated feeling.
Certain foods may cause stomach bloating. Among the guilty are broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage, cucumbers, onions and beans. These are all foods that have their own individual health benefits. Don’t avoid them, but you may want to pay attention to which foods cause the most stomach bloating so you can avoid them if the situation warrants.
Lactose intolerance is also a cause of bloating. Most adults have this problem to some degree. Our lactose production decreases as we age and we, therefore, have greater difficulty breaking down dairy products. If your body doesn’t make enough lactose, you could be lactose intolerant and may need to cut back on dairy products to help your stomach bloating.
Just like a baby, when an adult gets air in their stomach, bloating will occur. If that is your problem you might want to cut back on any carbonated drinks you are consuming. Also, keep the temperature of the foods you eat and the liquids you drink at medium level. When we consume food and drink that is too hot or too cold, we can inhale extra air that will contribute to stomach bloating.
There is little doubt that women suffer more from bloating than men do because, in addition to the above situations, women very often experience bloating each month with their menstrual cycle. Increased exercise is a good way to sweat out some excess fluid and relieve the stomach bloating.
As you can see, the simplest cures for stomach bloating are the ones you can take to prevent it altogether.
