Cure for Constipation – Naturally!

At one time or another we have all been constipated. It is a common dilemma because we all eat foods that are not so good for us and they clog up our systems. Here’s what to do to get things moving again:
1. Cleanse
If you are experiencing constipation now, cleansing is a great way to get things moving and rid your intestines of all the excess waste that’s been building up for years.
A natural way to cleanse is with a lemon-maple syrup elixir.
Mix hot water and one tablespoon of REAL maple syrup, one tablespoon of lemon juice and just a pinch of cayenne pepper in a pint size glass.
In the morning time drink this elixir and then don’t eat until lunchtime. Do this for 2 weeks.
2. Fresh Vegetable Juice
Drink a glass of freshly squeezed organic vegetable juice once or twice a day. The vitamins and minerals in this will help your body get back to functioning properly.
3. Cut out the processed food
Eating foods that are natural is one of the best ways to cure constipation. Your body can more easily digest natural foods properly. All those chemicals in processed foods just mean more waste stored up in your colon.
4. Eat food in the proper combination
Eating your foods in the right combination can really aid digestion. You should eat carbs with vegetables or protein with vegetables. Don’t eat protein and carbs together. And always eat fruit by itself, either 2 hours before or 2 hours after your next or last meal.
5. Constipation and medications
Multi vitamins and various medications can cause constipation. Check with your doctor to see if your medications could be the cause of your constipation and try to switch to something that doesn’t list constipation as a possible side effect.
6. Rest and relax
Get plenty of sleep and try to eliminate as much stress from your life as possible.
7. Exercise
Start an exercise program. Something as simple as a walk everyday can be of great benefit to your constipation and overall health.
