Constipation Relief With Fruit

If you are having a problem with constipation there are remedies you can try before making a trip to the doctor. One of the ways to achieve effective constipation relief is to consume fruit and fruit juices.

For a mild case of constipation you can drink apple or pear juice. Combine equal amounts of each juice and drink it when you first wake up in the morning and one hour before you go to bed. Pears have minerals and vitamins that will help to clean out your intestines and your kidneys. This remedy will definitely get you results if you are mildly constipated.

For chronic constipation you can drink apple juice and prune juice. Apple juice alone can work for constipation, but adding prune juice will increase the peristaltic action of your intestines, which will aid in constipation relief.

To get optimum benefit it is best to use a juicer and make your own juices. If you are unable to do this and have to use store bought juices, try to get the kind that is fresh squeezed and remember that organic juice is always better for you.

Buy your juice in glass containers if possible. Plastic containers are made with solvents which may remain in the walls of the container and seep into the juice.

If you want to speed up the effects of drinking juice for your constipation, try this combination before breakfast: Drink 2-3 cups of prune juice. Wait thirty minutes and then drink one cup of apple juice. After an hour drink another cup of apple juice.

In most cases, this will send you to the bathroom in a short amount of time. Make sure you are going to be in a place where you can get to a bathroom quickly if you need to. I would recommend using this method when you are going to be home for the morning.

Drinking prune juice by itself can also give constipation relief to some if they drink one cup in the morning and another in the evening. If you drink prune juice when you are not constipated, it is recommended that you only drink one half cup at a time.

  1. whenever i get Constipation, all i need to do is drink lots of orange juice and eat foods that have very high fiber.
