It is common for a newborn to become constipated. If so, they will have a less than normal number of bowel movements and difficulty in going. It is usually due to an insufficient consumption of water or poor communication between the nerves and the colon muscles. Babies should have a bowel movment every day.

Just because you do not experience bodily discomforts such as heartburn, gas and constipation, you do not necessarily have a healthy digestive system. If what you eat does not digest properly, cells are deprived of essential nutrients. When our cells don’t get these nutrients, they are unable to grow, repair tissue and generate energy.
